The Canterbury tales
This story was written by Geoffrey Chaucer. He is poemer in England. He is said father of English poetry. This time I read wife of berth. This story has a lot of interesting points. Especially I paid attention to point is that story has a way of thinking feminism.
This story has written in 14 century, nonetheless, that has vintage modern view. I was so surprised, because, it seems as if pioneer about feminism.
In this story, a queen ask a knight this; “what do you think that every women feel the gladdest are done by men?”
This question will also puzzle you, but I think there is another place that Chaucer wants to really tell us thing, maybe, (my prospect) he wants to say it is wrong to judge from appearance.
The Canterbury Tales contains a lot of interesting stories, for example, story by miller, trader, knight, doctor and so on. I would like to read all stories someday.
